Chamonix Mont-Blanc                                     

A must see! On everyone’s holiday list. Our day excursion will take you from Geneva to this famous mountain resort. Nestled at the foot of Mont-Blanc, Chamonix is a picturesque alpine town dominated by the surrounding mountains and glaciers rising majestically upwards to 4,807 metres.

Ride the awesome Aiguille du Midi cable-car up to 12,880 feet – 3842m (the highest cable-car in Europe) to the land of permanent snow and ice for stunning panoramas of the surrounding peaks. (under 2’s not permitted).

Take the Montenvers rack railway to the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) glacier. Descend by gondola onto the ice and visit inside the ice caves that are hollowed out of the very heart of the glacier.

Explore this alpine town, which is full of character, and enjoy lunch in one of the many pavement cafes.

We journey in 75 minutes from Geneva to Chamonix along the autoroute which runs through the beautiful Arve valley.

09:15 Depart Geneva - Outside the Hotel Warwick, 14 rue de Lausanne (opposite Cornavin station)

10:30 Arrive Chamonix Mont-Blanc

16:00 Depart Chamonix for return journey

17:15 Arrive back in Geneva
